The Guelph Hiking Trail Club is looking for hike leaders to lead hikes in and around Guelph. A few spots are still available for the Certified Hike Leader course on March 29.
Hike Ontario’s introductory hike leadership certification program takes candidates in one day from hiker to leader, ready to facilitate great outings for fellow hikers.

Date: Sunday, March 29, 2026, 9 AM (arrive 10 minutes early) to 4:30 pm
Location: 10C Shared Community Space, 42 Carden St. downtown Guelph, Heritage Room on 2nd floor.
Cost: $60 cash or cheque, payable on arrival ($25 refundable once 3 hikes have been led for GHTC)
Lunch: bring one, or find takeout options close by on the block. 40-minute allowance for lunch
Parking: a city parking garage is located on Wilson Street, a half block to the west.
Come prepared (incl. raingear) as though leading a day hike, including a backpack, packed as you would expect a hike leader to pack.
