Trail Users Code
There is a code that all hikers should know. It's not a secret code - but it's just as important!
The Trail Users Code has some really simple rules to follow when you are out on the trail. These rules will help keep everyone safe and happy!
- Stay on existing trails
- Avoid very wet and muddy conditions
- Know the local rules, regulations and concerns of the area
- Obey gate closures and signs
- Keep the trail clean
- Slower traffic has the right-of-way
- Keep right, except when passing
- Get owners permission on private land
- Do not disturb the wildlife
