Walking into Nature, Discovering the Power of Growth
As part of the "2026 Youth Nature Exploration & Environmental Stewardship Program" series, we invite families to join us at Milne Dam Conservation Area, following the Rouge River through forests, wetlands, lakes, and a dam — experiencing nature firsthand and learning about ecology in a real outdoor classroom.

Meeting Point
Street in front of 22 Grandview Boulevard (main entrance)
Hiking Route
Approximately 6 km, on relatively flat and solid terrain — suitable for family participation.
Activity Highlights
Along the way, we will explore the Rouge River, forests, wetlands, lake areas, and a dam, with our guide sharing natural and cultural highlights along the route. There will also be an on-site prize quiz on nature knowledge, giving kids a fun and interactive way to learn about the ecosystem.
Nature Creative Activity
Kids are encouraged to capture their discoveries and reflections along the trail through photography, drawing, and writing. Outstanding photography, art, and writing pieces will have the opportunity to enter a follow-up themed creative competition.

Parking is available on the streets surrounding the meeting point.
Public washrooms are available in the park.
Things to Bring / Note
Please bring drinking water, snacks, and insect repellent. Long pants and high-top shoes are recommended for outdoor protection.
